Sowerby Angling Society controls the fishing on the Cod Beck from the New Bridge in Thirsk (next to library) down stream for about 4 and half miles to the bottom limit of East Coast mainline railway bridge above Dalton. Mainly double bank, but single bank in places, particularly below Bogs hill where we control the left bank only (left bank as one faces downstream). The map below shows our waters.
