Sowerby Angling Society would not exist were it not for the local farmers and landowners who allow us to fish their stretches of the Cod Beck. They have supported the club since its inception and continue to do so to this day.
We owe them all a big vote of thanks.
Some even donate their fishing to us free of charge, and as we feel one good turn deserves another we have donated these rents to the Herriot Hospice based in Northallerton. The charity aims to enhance the quality of life and enable patients with life-limiting illness whose preferred place of care is at home. They provide specialist palliative care workers and trained volunteers, who provide support for them and their carers.
